Guest fredweb Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Hi all, I am trying to fit a complete pioneer mutimedia system into my galaxy (2002 1.9tdi). Does anybody knows where I can find the speed pulse of the vehicle to connect a pionneer avic-900DVD navigation system. Best regards Fred :D Quote
Masked Marauder Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 It is the purple wire in the radio hole. It may be a single wire or bundled into the loom. Quote
Guest fredweb Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Hi, Thanks for your info, That is what I was thinking the gala wire was, but was not too sure. Regards Fredweb Quote
Masked Marauder Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Aye GALA is an acronym for Speed Pulse Wire in German...... Quote
paulh Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 Does anyone know why this would suddenly stop working? My Gal is a taxi and the meter usues the pulse from the violet wire to work out when to tick up, it stopped working at the start of the week and the so called 'auto electricians' are taking forever to fix it. Is there another wire somewhere on the car that does the same thing maybe?Cheers Quote
